You must have reached age of majority to enter this contest.

No purchase is required to enter but you must have an existing mortgage with MCAP Service Corporation and must register your profile on MyMCAP by clicking on the ‘Registration’ link on www.mcap.com/mymcap. By registering your profile, you can access the dedicated Contest Website to enter. By entering the contest, you acknowledge and agree that: (i) you have read and understood these Rules in their entirety; (ii) you are eligible to participate in the Contest; and (iii) you agree to abide by the Rules, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Contest. From all eligible entries received, the winner(s) will be selected in the manner detailed below. Eligibility criteria to enter the Contest are described below.

Persons residing in jurisdictions other than canada are not eligible to win any prizes in connection with this contest. Employees, representatives and agents (and those with whom they are domiciled) of the Sponsor, the contest administrator Environics Analytics, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, web masters, site providers, contest judges and/or persons engaged in the development of the promotional material, and any mortgage broker are not eligible to participate in this Contest. Government Agencies are not connected with this Contest and are not liable in any way whatsoever in regard to any matter which relates to this Contest. Persons that do not have a mortgage with the Sponsor are also not eligible to participate in the Contest.

1. Contest Period



The Contest will run from January 3, 2024, 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") to November 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period").



2. How To Enter



No purchase necessary to enter or to win but you must be an existing customer of MCAP Service Corporation and must register your profile on MyMCAP to enter the Contest. The Contest is offered electronically only and is accessible through MyMCAP at www.mcap.com/mymcap.




Registration: Access www.mcap.com/mymcap during the Contest Period. If you have not previously registered your profile, click on the ‘Registration’ link, complete the online registration form and submit as instructed (the "Registration"). All fields on the Registration form must be completed unless they are indicated as optional. Registration will be governed by the privacy rules of the site that can be viewed at www.mcap.com/privacy. Once you have completed the Registration you will then be able to access the MyHome Sweepstakes contest link (the "Contest Website") and register for the contest by agreeing to these Rules. If you agree, the Sponsor will send you notices and reminders about the Contest and future MyHome Sweepstakes contests.




Entry Mechanism: Once an entrant has completed the online Registration process, he/she can earn entries for Prizes by logging on to the MyMCAP portal, accessing the Contest Website, and completing an activity described on the Contest Website. Limit one (1) Registration per MyMCAP account holder. There are three categories of prizes available during the Contest Period: Grand Prizes, the Property Tax Bonus Prize, and VISA Gift Card Bonus Prizes (collectively, “Prizes”). The entry mechanism for each type of Prize is described below.




Grand Prizes: For each of the Grand Prize Activity Months (February, May, August, and November respectively) during the Contest Period, if the entrant logs onto the Contest Website at least once during that calendar month, the entrant will have the opportunity to complete the specific activity on the Contest Website and receive one (1) Grand Prize Entry for that Grand Prize Activity Month in accordance with these Rules.




For each activity required to earn an entry for a Grand Prize, the required action as outlined in the description or instructions must be completed in full and meet the compliance guidelines outlined below and on the Contest Website to be accepted as a valid entry to the Contest. The activity that the entrant is required to complete to earn an entry for the applicable Grand Prize in a Grand Prize Activity Month shall be available as follows:





• February Grand Prize Activity Month: February 1 to February 29, 2024


• May Grand Prize Activity Month: May 1 to May 31, 2024


• August Grand Prize Activity Month: August 1 to August 31, 2024


• November Grand Prize Activity Month: November 1 to November 30, 2024





Any activities that involve written answers are limited to a maximum of 400 words or 2000 characters. Responses that are deemed offensive, harmful, defamatory, or in violation of federal or provincial human rights laws, or that infringe the privacy or intellectual property of any third party will not be accepted and the entry will be forfeited by the entrant. Responses should not include personal information of any person other than the entrant, brands/logos of any third party, or attachments.




Limit one (1) Grand Prize per person.




Property Tax Bonus Prize: Each entrant who participates in any Grand Prize Activity Month activity will automatically earn one (1) entry for the Property Tax Bonus Prize.




For the Property Tax Bonus Prize, the Entry Eligibility Period reflects the Grand Prize Activity Months provided above.




VISA Gift Card Bonus Prizes: Entrants will have the opportunity to earn entries for the VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize by completing the following activities:





• If the entrant visits the MCAP Website using a link provided on the Contest Website, the entrant will receive one (1) VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize Entry;


• If the entrant visits the MCAP Blog page using a link provided on the Contest Website, the entrant will receive one (1) VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize Entry;


• If the entrant visits the MCAP Video Library using a link provided on the Contest website, the entrant will receive one (1) VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize Entry;


• If the entrant visits the MCAP Facebook page using a link provided on the Contest website, the entrant will receive one (1) VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize Entry;


• If the entrant signs up for or confirms their registration for electronic communications* using a link provided on the Contest Website, the entrant will receive one (1) VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize Entry; or


• If the entrant signs up for or confirms their registration for electronic documents* using a link provided on the Contest Website, the entrant will receive one (1) VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize Entry.





* Signing-up for electronic communications and signing-up for electronic documents can only be completed once and are thus each eligible for one (1) entry only upon completion.




For the VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize, the Entry Eligibility Period is the entire duration of the Contest Period.




Any attempt or suspected attempt to register more than once per account or to enter more than the specified number of entries shall be deemed as tampering and will void all of your entries. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or entry methods not authorized by these Rules will void all entries affected by such methods and shall also be deemed as tampering and will void all of your entries.



3. Prizes



Grand Prizes: There will be Grand Prizes available to be won during the Contest Period in the following Grand Prize Activity Months:





• February, when there is one (1) Grand Prize,


• May, when there are five (5) Grand Prizes,


• August, when there are three (3) Grand Prizes,


• November, when there are five (5) Grand Prizes,





for a total of fourteen (14) Grand Prizes. Each Grand Prize is described below:

* The selected entrant for the February Grand Prize has until end of August 2024 to provide a copy of their interim 2024 property tax bill. Once verified, the Sponsor will issue a cheque for the exact amount of the property tax for the year 2024, up to a maximum of $5,000. For example, if the February Grand Prize selected entrant’s property tax bill is $2,300, the Sponsor will award the prize in the form of a cheque for $2,300. If the selected entrant’s property tax bill is $6,800, the Sponsor will award the prize in the form of a cheque for $5,000. The winner is responsible for the administration of their property tax account. The Sponsor will not make any payments directly to the winner’s municipal property tax account.




** The selected entrant must pick a gift card from a list of eligible gift cards provided by the Sponsor, which shall include: Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Best Buy, Sobeys, Walmart, Amazon, prepaid VISA, or another gift card approved by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.




*** The selected entrant must pick a charity from a list of eligible charities provided by the Sponsor, which shall include: Habitat for Humanity Canada, Raising the Roof, Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Women’s Foundation, or another registered Canadian charity approved by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.




**** One payment of $4,000 against the principal amount of the mortgage held by prize winner with MCAP. For customers who have already reached their maximum annual lump sum privilege payment, the Sponsor may substitute the mortgage payment prize with a VISA gift card valued at $4,000. The $4,000 payment against the principal amount of the mortgage does not replace the regular scheduled mortgage payment. Customers are still required to make their regular scheduled mortgage payments.




Property Tax Bonus Prize: There is one (1) Property Tax Bonus Prize to be won, which will provide the winner with the cash value of the winner’s municipal property tax bill for the 2024 property tax year, up to a maximum of $3,500. The Property Tax Bonus Prize has an approximate retail value of $3,500.




The selected entrant for the Property Tax Bonus Prize has until end of December 2024 to provide a copy of their final 2024 property tax bill. Once verified, the Sponsor will issue a cheque for the exact amount of the property tax for the year 2024, up to a maximum of $3,500. For example, if the Property Tax Bonus Prize selected entrant’s property tax bill is $2,300, the Sponsor will award the prize in the form of a cheque for $2,300. If the selected entrant’s property tax bill is $3,800, the Sponsor will award the prize in the form of a cheque for $3,500. The winner is responsible for the administration of their property tax account. The Sponsor will not make any payments directly to the winner’s municipal property tax account.




VISA Gift Card Bonus Prizes: There are ten (10) VISA Gift Card Bonus Prizes available to be won. Each VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize consists of one (1) prepaid VISA gift card that has an approximate retail value of $500.




All gift cards (including prepaid VISA gift cards) are subject to the terms of use stated on or with the card.



4. Draws and Winner Selection



On the 3rd business day of March 2024, the Sponsor will randomly draw one (1) entry from all eligible Grand Prize entries received during the February Entry Eligibility Period.




On the 3rd business day of June 2024, the Sponsor will randomly draw five (5) entries from all eligible Grand Prize entries received during the May Entry Eligibility Period.




On the 3rd business day of September 2024, the Sponsor will randomly draw three (3) entries from all eligible Grand Prize entries received during the August Entry Eligibility Period.




On the 3rd business day of December 2024, the Sponsor will randomly draw five (5) entries from all eligible Grand Prize entries received during the November Entry Eligibility Period.




On the 3rd business day of December 2024, the Sponsor will randomly draw ten (10) entries from all eligible VISA Gift Card Bonus Prize entries from the duration of the Contest Period.




On the 3rd business day of December 2024, the Sponsor will randomly draw one (1) entry from all eligible Property Tax Bonus Prize entries from the duration of the Contest Period.




All draws will take place at 200 King Street West, Toronto, Ontario at or near 1p.m. ET. There will be twenty-five (25) draws in total.




For all Prizes, the selected entrants will be contacted by phone or email at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Only the selected entrants will be notified.




Before being awarded a Prize, each selected entrant must have correctly answered without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question within the time frame specified (if any) by the Sponsor (which will be administered by phone or email). If an eligible entrant is selected but cannot be reached after three (3) attempts, does not respond within the required time, the skill-testing question is not correctly answered within the time frame specified by the Sponsor or the entrant does not otherwise comply with these Rules, the selected entry will be deemed void and an alternate entrant may be selected in accordance with these Rules.




If a selected entrant is eligible for a gift card Grand Prize and the merchant of the Grand Prize does not have a physical or online store in the jurisdiction in which the selected entrant resides, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, make an alternate Grand Prize available to the selected entrant.




In addition to the above, and prior to being declared an official winner, each selected entrant will be required to sign and return the Declaration and Release Form described below in Rule 6 within the time frame specified by the Sponsor. Only when a selected entrant has complied with all of the above requirements will he/she be declared an official winner (a "Winner").




Award of prizes will be coordinated directly with Winners within 60 days of being declared a Winner. Any further costs and expenses not specifically described as included in the Prizes (including, but not limited to claiming and using the prize) are the responsibility of the Winner.




By entering this Contest, all entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by Sponsor for the purposes of running the Contest or for any other purpose to which entrants consent. Once submitted, entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Personally identifiable information received will be used to verify eligibility and award prizes, for any purpose to which entrants consent, or as otherwise indicated on the Contest Website, and will be collected, used and stored by the Sponsor in accordance with its Privacy Policy. The privacy policy can be found at www.mcap.com/privacy.




This Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws, and is void where prohibited.



5. Odds of Winning



The odds of winning a Grand Prize are dependent on the number of eligible entries received during the related Grand Prize Activity Month. The odds of winning a Property Tax Bonus Prize or a Visa Gift Card Bonus Prize are dependent on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The number of prizes available will be reduced as they are won during the Contest Period.



6. Release



All the selected entrants will be required to sign and return a full release and indemnity form, ("Declaration and Release Form") within the time stipulated by the Sponsor, stating that he/she has read and understood these Rules, grants all consents and authorizes the Sponsor to use his/her entry, name, city of residence, photograph, interview (if Sponsor wishes to conduct an interview each selected entrant must also consent to be interviewed by the Sponsor), likeness, comments and voices in connection with any promotion or publicity at no additional compensation to the selected entrant, beyond the awarding of the Prize.




In the event of non-compliance with these requirements (as applicable) or with these Rules, or if a Prize notification or award of a Prize is returned undeliverable, Sponsor shall have the right to disqualify the selected entrant, and randomly select from remaining eligible entries an alternate entrant as a potential Winner and shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.



7. Limitations of Liability



The Sponsor will not be liable for: a) any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, whether caused by Contest Website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries; b) the theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; c) any problems with, or technical malfunctions of, telephone networks or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs; d) any failure of any email to be received by or from Sponsor for any reason including but not limited to traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or combination thereof, interrupted or unavailable networks; e) damage to a participant's or other person's system occasioned by participation or downloading of materials in this Contest; f) late, delayed, damaged, misdirected, destroyed, lost, illegible, incomplete, incorrect, fraudulent, or stolen entries which will be deemed void. Any lost or undelivered entries that are not received in time to be counted towards the relevant draws will not be counted and entrant waives any recourse in relation to such lost or undelivered entries.



8. Miscellaneous



By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Rules and agree that the decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and no transfer or substitution of the Prizes will be permitted except as expressly provided in these Rules or at the Sponsor's sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value if for any reason the Prize cannot be awarded as contemplated in these Rules. Prizes are not convertible to cash. Proof of sending an entry will not be deemed proof of receipt.




All entries become the property of Sponsor. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way or do not otherwise comply with these Rules.




Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel, withdraw, amend, terminate or suspend this Contest in whole or in part at any time without prior notice or obligation for any reason, including if a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor corrupts the security, fairness or proper administration of the Contest.
